Our story

Animals have always been part of my life. I used to ride horses and I had a German Shepherd and a Dachshund. When family and children came, there was less time for riding. My husband was a hunter, so we looked for something that would bring us together. Step by step we came to gundog work and to a breed that won us over completely.

In 2009 Cindy came to us, our first Gordon Setter female. She is where everything we associate with Pearl Moravia today began. She passed the breeding requirements, and in 2012 we welcomed our first litter.

Since then we have bred five generations of Gordon Setters. We remain a small family kennel, where breeding has its own pace and a personal touch.

When choosing and raising our dogs, what matters most to us is temperament, health and the Gordon Setter's natural working ability. At the same time we aim for a sound conformation that meets the breed standard.

For us, Pearl Moravia is above all long-term work with a breed that has grown on our hearts.

The Gordon Setter as a gundog

The Gordon Setter is first and foremost a hunting breed, and its natural ability is an important part of our breeding.

With our females we take part in gundog work, field trials and practical hunting, including large pheasant shoots.

We also show our dogs, in the Czech Republic and abroad.

We care that our dogs keep their working ability, good temperament and health, while also meeting the breed standard in conformation.

Our puppies stay part of the family

For us, the relationship with new owners does not end when a puppy leaves. We like to stay in touch, we want to know how our puppies are doing, and we enjoy watching them grow and seeing what they experience with their families.

Everyone who takes a puppy from us becomes part of our family. Whether we meet at shows and dog events or just exchange messages and photos, we are glad to remain part of their shared story.
